Welcome to our 2026 TCS London Marathon Team

We’re delighted to welcome our Blue Light Card Foundation 2026 TCS London Marathon team, four remarkable members of the blue light community who’ll be taking on one of the world’s most iconic marathons in support of the Foundation next April.

Each of them brings their own story, motivation, and determination to the start line, united by a shared passion for protecting and supporting others.

Ange Everington – Firefighter and Blue Light Card Foundation Brand Ambassador

Ange is a firefighter, content creator, and founder of The Blue Light Health Club, a platform dedicated to helping first responders look after both their physical and mental health. As the Foundation’s first Brand Ambassador, she plays an important role in promoting wellbeing and resilience across the blue light community.

Through her work, Ange has built a supportive online network that encourages open conversations about mental health and the realities of life on the frontline. Her journey is about redefining success after setbacks, prioritising preventative health, and showing that strength comes in many forms.

Dave Southgate – Police Officer

Dave brings almost two decades of policing experience to this year’s team. Based in Essex, he’s passionate about raising awareness around mental health of first responders, an issue that’s deeply personal to him after losing colleagues to suicide during his service.

Having already completed the 2025 London Marathon, Dave is returning with renewed focus and a full training plan, determined to make every mile count for the Blue Light Card Foundation. His enthusiasm for creating stronger mental health support across the blue light community shines through every step of his journey.

Pete Elliott – Advanced Paramedic Practitioner

Pete has spent his career providing urgent care and critical support when people need it most. His decision to take on the marathon is driven by a commitment to highlight the pressures faced by those working in emergency care and the importance of staying well,  mentally and physically,  under those demands.

Balancing long shifts and training runs is no easy feat, but Pete’s motivation to support his colleagues and promote wellbeing across the NHS keeps him going.

James Hickman – Border Force Higher Officer

Working at Luton Airport, James plays a key role in keeping the UK safe, something he takes great pride in.

Running his first marathon, he’s inspired by the chance to give back to a charity that supports the services his family and friends are part of. His colleagues are already backing him through workplace fundraising, including cake sales, sweepstakes and auctions, all to help raise funds for the Foundation.

We’re proud to have Ange, Pete, David and James representing the Blue Light Card Foundation at the 2026 TCS London Marathon. Their efforts will help us continue supporting the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of the blue light community across the UK.

We will be sharing updates on their progress over the new few months, on our website and social media pages.
