The 10 Winning Workplace Wellbeing Fund Projects

Thank you to everyone who took part in the public vote for our Workplace Wellbeing Fund. Every vote helped shape where this support would go and ensured it reached teams who will truly benefit from improved spaces, time to decompress, and opportunities to prioritise wellbeing at work.

We’re delighted to reveal the 10 winning projects, each receiving £2,000 to support wellbeing within their workplaces.

The 10 winning projects

  • Bournemouth Lifeguard Corps
    Installing an external hydration station to ensure volunteers have easy access to water during demanding shifts, supporting health, safety and wellbeing.

  • Chapman Barker NHS Unit
    Refreshing the staffroom to create a calming, comfortable environment where staff can properly rest and recharge.

  • Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
    Creating a tranquil outdoor space where team members can reflect, decompress and access mental health support after challenging incidents.

  • East Lynne Medical Centre
    Transforming the staff room into a calm and welcoming space where staff can relax, reset and step away from daily pressures.

  • National Police Air Service – London Lippets Hill
    Enhancing the outdoor garden area with new seating, shelter and calming planting to create a welcoming space that can be enjoyed year-round.

  • Police Service Norther Ireland – Carrickfergus
    Developing a dedicated wellbeing room for the Occupational Health team, including nurses, psychologists and physiotherapists, to support decompression and connection.

  • RAF Spadeadam
    Providing staff with regular opportunities to step away from daily pressures through wellbeing activities such as yoga and movement sessions.

  • St John Ambulance & Fall Assist Crews – Cymru
    Creating a comfortable space where teams can rest and decompress after supporting people in emergency and community settings.

  • Watersafe UK Search and Rescue
    Creating a mobile wellbeing and resilience hub to support volunteers across Norfolk wherever they are needed.

  • Yorkshire Air Ambulance
    Providing staff with access to a dedicated outdoor space and small garden area, offering a calm environment for rest, reflection and connection with colleagues.

These projects represent a wide range of roles, settings and challenges across the blue light community.  They all share one thing in common: recognising the importance of supporting the people behind the uniform.

We’ll be exploring many of these projects in more depth in the coming months, sharing stories of how this funding has helped teams feel supported, valued and better able to cope with the demands of their roles.
