NATURE-BASED WELLBEING

A UK-wide portfolio supporting NHS staff, emergency responders and veterans through structured, evidence-informed programmes in nature.

Welcome to our national nature-based wellbeing network

We are proud to launch a coordinated national network of nature-based wellbeing programmes supporting police, fire and ambulance services, alongside NHS staff, veterans and wider uniformed communities across the UK.

Delivered in partnership with specialist organisations, this portfolio brings together woodland activity, outdoor retreats, therapeutic horticulture, surf therapy and sport-based initiatives all designed to create space for recovery, connection and wellbeing outside operational environments.

This work reflects our commitment to strengthening frontline wellbeing through practical, evidence-informed approaches that complement existing clinical and occupational support.

This portfolio brings together delivery partners using woodland, mountain, horticultural, residential and sport-based settings to support wellbeing, recovery and connection alongside NHS and statutory services.

Our Programmes

A message from Emma Woods-Bolger, CEO of the Blue Light Card Foundation

“Across the UK, police, fire and ambulance services, alongside NHS staff, and wider uniformed communities, continue to work under significant pressure.
We are proud to be working with specialist partners to build a growing national network of nature-based wellbeing programmes that support recovery, resilience and connection across frontline communities.
Each programme is different, but they share a common purpose creating space for people to step away from pressure, reconnect with others and access support in practical, accessible and human environments.”
