Race to the Top: Blue Light Stair Run

There’s something special about an event that brings people together across services, not just to compete, but to connect, encourage, and finish feeling part of something bigger.

The Blue Light Stair Run is exactly that. On Saturday 4 April 2026, competitors will take on the climb at Beetham Tower, Manchester, a striking 47-storey skyscraper that sets the scene for an unforgettable stair-run challenge.

Open to frontline emergency services personnel (including support staff) and members of the public aged 18+, the event welcomes everyone from first-timers to seasoned climbers.

Whether you’re going for a personal best, representing your team, or climbing in solidarity with colleagues, every step contributes to the atmosphere, focused, supportive, and full of determination.

A challenge with purpose

The Blue Light Stair Run will be raising funds for the Blue Light Card Foundation, helping us back the person behind the uniform with wellbeing support that feels practical, human, and accessible. From giving people space to breathe and reset, to supporting recovery and connection, your involvement helps make this work possible.

Ready to take it on?

If you’re looking for a challenge that builds team spirit, tests determination, and ends with a huge sense of achievement, this is your sign.
