Wrexham Police FC charity football match

Wrexham Police FC with Hollyoaks cast members taking on the field on 22nd October 2023 and raising £572 in aid of the Foundation.

In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and support for the Blue Light Card Foundation, Wrexham Police FC, composed of off-duty North Wales Police officers, squared off against the cast of the popular soap opera Hollyoaks in an exhilarating charity football match. Despite facing a formidable opponent, the Wrexham team demonstrated unwavering determination, showcasing their passion for the cause and their commitment to improving the wellbeing of their fellow Blue Light service personnel.

The match, held at Airbus Broughton, drew a crowd eager to witness this unique sporting event. The Hollyoaks cast, renowned for their on-screen athleticism, brought their competitive spirit to the pitch, while the Wrexham Police FC, fueled by their dedication to the cause, displayed remarkable resilience and teamwork.

Although the Wrexham team ultimately fell short, their fundraising efforts will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the Foundation’s endeavours, ensuring that those who dedicate their lives to serving their communities receive the support they deserve.
